It was a car with a prancing horse on it. Like Mark said this may be the time to buy. Some guy here in Memphis put 6 911 on eBay along with 6 Mustangs, a couple Mercedes and a few other cars. The guy had quit the collection. If I I get something I may have to let go of the Helmet. Right now it’s a slim chance

Collector cars have dropped 10% in the last 30 days and haven’t found the bottom. Lee, prancing horses could be a good investment by mid summer.

A nice original GP1 is very hard to find.

Changed a going to be flat tire on Skooby. Babs came home from the drug store & asked if I put too much air in the right side tires. Huh? Took it around the block & click clack thump?? Once I pulled the RF tire off to have a look see there it was. I swear it was laughing at me & giving me the metal middle finger.

Looking at where that big screw is in the tire I'm thinking that tire may be toasted. I have replacement certificates for these tires so it won't cost me. Seems somewhere along the line the certificates always pay for themselves.

Is that the LF tire or the RF one? From the pic, it appears to be the RF where the tire was removed..I'm probably wrong, though. I usually am.

Took the Helmet out to run to the store. I cant believe the difference the catless down pipe made. Without the RMW tune turned on it is very hard to keep the whales from breaking loose in 1st, 2nd and 3rd! With the tune turned on its insane! I know it has some kind of e-diff on it but am wondering if a LSD would help.

The car I was going to look at did not happen. I have looked at another one but will be passing on it. Cool car but it would be a bit of a reach. I will have to wait a little longer and keep saving.

Part of the problem is, it's hard to beat the Helmet. The car is a blast. Mark you did an excellent job with it! I am still thinking about meth and maybe a bigger turbo. I am not sure how much boost the JCW N14 can take its at a little over 19psi now. RMW does make a race engine:D but that may be going too far. I am having trouble getting the power down now. I wish there was a way to fit a AWD system in it. Perhaps I should call the Project Binky guys, I am sure they could do it.:D

Yes a LSD would help. The e-diff is ok for cars running near stock levels of HP, but it isn't enough for what you've got Lee.

Modding is a drug, not sure how much that engine can take before it's an overdose. :Dead: ;)

Lee, you could always get some "prancing horse" stickers and put them on the "Helmet"..........

The e-Diff in a MINI is junk. Get a real LSD Lee.

While not as good as a true LSD I think it is worlds better than an open diff. I guess if you have big powa you may need an LSD. Although with enough powa you just trail smoke from both tires more efficiently.

My German bread van has an e-diff & it works well for me. No way I'll eat the cost of putting an LSD in. I'd rather use that money toward a new GTI that comes with an LSD. On second thought it's great not having car payments. ;)

Just got back from Discount Tire. The tire was repairable. Patch on the inside with a plug up through the hole.

Rufus came back from having 2 new tires mounted/balanced, new steering knuckles, ABS sensors and Hubs/bearings up front and a full corner-balance and alignment. He got a wash and vac... step #1 for some polishing and a few coats of ceramic to come over the next month or so.
