It’s not that you didn’t listen to your better half it’s that you worked on the car for a whole week and didn’t give the info she found a try. Now your gonna either hear about this for another 33 years or see that “I told you so look” whenever you have difficulty with some project. Shame, shame, shame :D

Spilling the beans, always somewhat a bit of embarransment. I had to call the dealer today about my 2020 Clubby JCW. I was having a challenge engaging reverse directly when exiting the garage. Read the manual paper copy, read the online drivers manual, online tips, read about the everything. Call the SA at Schomp, I explained my problem, had to go to drive then go to reverse. Did not make sense, do I have an issue. No! He said are you pushing forward on the DCT 2020 transmission level to engage reverse? No! The light came on, I have had 3 MINI automatics, the old style in 2016 back to 2007. Engage reverse from park by pulling back with foot on brake. New DCT 2020, release park/brake, foot on brake, push shift lever forward to engage reverse. Not in the manual, but you would think... Maybe not. Got it now and am embarrased to say I did not see this one at. all.

Much better when you think about it.

    Take care, mask up.
    Don

Ok up date. The s2k would not start. My son called so I went to his house and we pushed it off and took it back to the dealer.

It seems I may have a bit of a reprieve.

What a downer !! The only way to a get a reprieve, as you say, is for the problem to rear it’s ugly head once more.

I don't mean to ask a stupid question, but after importing the picture to your computer are you saving it as a JPEG? or a different kind of file? JPEG should upload to MA

I got my car weeks back today. It looks great, but now it has to set for 2 weeks to cure. ( 4 coats on paint 2 on all other areas wheels & calipers.) They polished the A pillars then put a clear wrap on them. If I ever get photoshop to work I'll send pictures.

It won't give me that option. My old photoshop was a lot easier. I'll I had to do was load then move them to my pictures then a could do anything I wanted to do.

If you have Photoshop 2020 once your picture is open goto File, Export, Export as, A dialog should open where you can size the picture and chose a format.

Thanks but hell that was before they coated it, all they had done was clay bar and polish.

Replaced a missing grommet that goes
under the air box and noticed the turbo
inlet hose has a big crack just behind the
clamp at the turbo. Sealed it with
some silicone X-Treme Tape wrap and
ordered a new one from WMW who has
plenty in stock. Those MINI plastic/rubber
parts just don’t hold up reliably after 10
    years or so.
