Justa got done cleaning all the crud off my sweet wife's clubster. Shines real nice now. Although it seems like every time I get personal with her car I find more dings. Damn people just don't give a rats arse what they swing their farking doors into.
Ordered new front speakers for my MINI. https://www.motoringalliance.com/threads/bavsound-speaker-upgrade-kit.31372/
Took my Clubby 20 JCW down to a stripe and ppf shop on Wednesday, progress is being made. I should be able to pickup at 2pm Friday or a bit later. Full bonnet and bumper Xpel PPF, a bit across the CR roof back to the start of the sunroof, the black A-Pillars, door edges and then.... New euro style stripe front to rear and side stripes, going with a checkered CR side sweep with some black accent in the checkers. Euro stripe in full gloss black with red pins in varied size. I will post a picture or two after I see it in person. Yes, I am ditching the tradition MINI stripes for something I hope is unique to this area. We shall see. Btw, a few weeks past some folks asked about cost of Ceramic Coatings, these folks do that too. Cost is base of $500 for the coating but paint correction is variable lowest being $100 for a simple correction, a two to four day process depending on correction to the paint. So maybe before winter these guys can do some ceramic work for me. Only drawback, is there shop is a shared space with a performance tuner, it is busy as hell and crowded. They have a nice slice of the shop but I can imagine that place during a work day and I cringe. Also, the area is old town industrial, I would not leave any nice car outside over night. So, look for pictures to be posted in the garage soon. Stay safe, mask up, Don
I use to work at a shop that was in a bad part of town. At quitting time we would put all the cars in the shop and lock up. You would be surprised how we would pack them in.
Started making the template for a rear seat delete. Still unsure what direction I want to go in, but either way, I think they're gonna go.
Let me assure you my wife will never do that. I on the other hand always do that & my cars have stayed ding free.
Good news I got up this morning and could see the blue sky not smoke. It should be time to wash Checkers.
Sitting out side with my lovely wife. Do you really want me to keep the Helmet? She said yes what are we going to drive when one of the kids need the truck. I said the Lotus. She looked at me as if I was crazy and said no we would have to drive her Mini. Obviously this is acceptable , I thought I was picky! I know this is some kind of trap. 32 years of marriage and there is a new trap I have to figure out.
Lee, you have GOT to settle down and enjoy the ride, whatever that may be and wherever it goes. Only 32 years? Pish Posh...I'm on my 53rd trap...they just keep on coming....................
Lee sometimes you just have to fall into the trap the wife sets for you. Makes them happy & that's a good thing.
Maybe, just maybe mind you, she is fully aware of the limitations of the Lotus and just doesn’t view it as a viable everyday backup vehicle.
Well, Saturday night and my guys did not disapoint. Since I am a bit lazy I will add to my M/A garage in a few. For those who want to look try this set of pictures on my drive family area: 2020 MINI JCW Clubman it is still under 500 miles, damn! The first three pictures are the MINI factory/local dealer stripes. Better pictures will be taken, when I find the right place and time. Added a few more pictures to the link above, at the shop as they were finishing up, the overhead lights show how much this JCW shines, also full paint correction and PPF on Bonnet and Front JCW bumper.
