I think @00Mini has a good point. You can always add them later. If you knew for sure you wanted them, you could have them painted on the hood.

It's been about 4 weeks since Checkers has been started so today was a good day. As usual it started right up.

Did the carbon beltline a few weeks ago. . . also installed a Midland radio for club runs.

Been parked for weeks, but got out today for a wash, apply the carbon fiber mirror covers (not wild about the fitment), new club and insta decals, and a drive to clear my head a bit.

AND just shy of 23,600K original miles when I parked. I hope my new car gets here soon, lol.

We returned late Thursday night in terrible rain and wind from Lexington, KY, on home from MOTD. Wonderful time, but we about got CREAMED on our way down [he wasn't paying any attention and drifted towards us as we were stopped at a stop sign, by a crotch rocket [by Killboy's office], and again on I-40 outside Knoxville when a semi blew a tire as we were on our way home. Then, there were all kinds of rain-related slide offs north of Lexington that we had to avoid. The Cigar Salon was SO successful Wed. night that, YES, I WILL be headed back next year.

However, I am DONE with saying, 'this is my last time down'. When it happens, it WILL happen but, sadly, everyone can piss and moan then....LOLOL.

Replaced the valve cover on my R55 N14.
Oozing from the right front corner and
dripping onto the downpipe area and there
was also a crack in the cover so I couldn’t
just do the gasket. Got to see the timing
chain and guides with the cover off so I’m
    reassured that they look fine.

I've been amazingly busy for the past month or two on the weekends, so I decided to take a day off and just rest and do things that I enjoy. I got the MINI uncovered and hopped in to find that the battery was absolutely flat! I had forgotten to plug in the trickle charger and it looks like I left the dome light on. :( Oh well... maybe I'll get it out later this week.

I get a portable battery jump starter so even if its dead the car will still start. Then just go for a drive until it chargers. You don't need jumper cables and it can fit in a glove box.

Yep. But it's probably not great for the battery to do a complete discharge.... some numbnut just forgot to turn off the lights and plug in the trickle charger.

Oh yeah... the same numbnut left his keys on the back patio table last night (and, of course, it rained). I've got the keys in my cPAP dryer right now, just to make sure they are completely dry, but they did work.

We can't help with memory problems, but unless you have a bad battery it should be fine with a jump.

If you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck at all!

I've left the curtesy light on in my Meotter. Flat dead battery that wouldn't come back from the dead. It used a very small AGM battery. If you have a normal wet cell battery it may charge up & be OK. Although running them flat flat flat isn't great for those either. Good luck.....

My MINI key went through a wash an dry cycle in the laundry and it didn't hurt it at all.
