A few of us from the Club took a drive up into the hills for another Sunday Motoring Breakfast, and afterwards enjoyed a nice little "Toss Your Meal Challenge Run" lasting only an hour or so. What a perfect morning with good food and friends. Back home in plenty of time for the LBGP.

Oh, and no one lost their meals, so all the better for us all... :biggrin5:

Changed the oil in RDNZL this afternoon and remember what a PITA the filter housing is to get back on! I believe this IS why MINI recommends the high mileage in between service cause that housing sucks! Not because the oil last s really long time.
With the strut brace on I was cursing for 15 minutes before I removed the one end and the housing went right on, duh!

Washed all the pollen off after that but I'm sure it will be yellow in the morning and not the good yellow like Jim's MINI :)

I always pull the strut brace when I do an oil change. Just to darned hard to do with doing it. Compared to doing my R53 our R55 is a real breeze.

Yesterday: Drove from Los Angeles, CA to Phoenix, AZ. Today: Drove from Phoenix, AZ to Las Cruxes, NM. Tomorrow: Las Cruxes, NM to San Antonio, TX.

Why am I driving so much? Easy, I got married Saturday to the love of my life and I am moving to Austin, TX. After a honeymoon on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. :D

This will be my last M/A post for a while... See you after the honeymoon!

Well, this was yesterday... er... Sunday, but I chased down a Lotus and an E60 M5 in my little 118hp JustaCooper at Roebling Road Raceway. (And yes, I realize they SHOULD be faster than me)

    A honeymoon during Fiesta! Congratulations!

I hope you are staying at The Menger (where both Teddy Roosevelt and Robert E. Lee both resided). Congratulations on all the big changes!

New shoes for the little lady....

What a difference between run flats and the Federal SS-595s. The 215/45R/17s fit perfectly, and to me they're pretty quiet. If they're noisy at all, they are still quieter than the run flats with a much nicer ride, and the price was RIGHT!

:cornut: Congratulations on your Marriage!!!!!!! Now down to brass tacks. Texas= God's Country where he made the sun downs UT burnt orange. Austin now a days isn't really Texas, It's a suburb of San Francisco that just happens to be in Texas. If you like left leaning alternate life style big cities, you'll love it. pmsummer, Hays county is where I was raised namely Buda. Now a suburb of Austin just over the Travis county line in north Hays county. My cousin Don was the Sheriff of Hays county until several years ago. San Marcos is the county seat and the home of Texas State University. It used to be called South West Texas State Teachers College when LBJ went there. I'm now in Sherman(after Sydney Sherman of Texas Revolution fame not the Yankee barn burner Wm T Sherman). Red Beard if you like California big cities then Austin should be just fine for you and your lovely bride.
