I'm 78 and have some medical issues, but not me my wife so I need to be a home and not riding or driving. Hell I only put a 150 miles on Checkers last year. I don't put 100 miles a month total counting all 3 cars. It's hard to keep the batteries charged up.
@checkers I pray she will be ok. I know it must not be easy. Last Friday I went to my aunts 100 birthday. When I got there she was standing up talking to everyone. She is still active. I don’t know how she does it. I’ll be 59 in a few months. If you are older than me and still active I have respect for you. As a friend of mine use to say, getting old is not for the faint of hart.
I'm a young guy at only 70. My days on two wheels are many years behind me. Even if I could manage it I wouldn't ride due to all the cell phone distracted drivers out there now. Be careful out there guys. Good on you for taking care of your wife checkers. Buy a battery tender or two & it will make keeping batteries alive much easier.
Thanks and I thought of the battery tenders but then I wouldn't go see Checkers that often. It give me a reason to go down an start it up now & then.

The plan yesterday was to drive the MINI to work but the battery was dead or I should say to weak to start. I will put it on the charger today and maybe I can drive it tonight.
I started putting StaBil in my gas tanks a few months into COVID. The MINI gets a horribly small # of miles on it and my daily driver, a Volvo XC60 (small SUV) has only used 1.5 tank of gas in the past year and that includes a run to visit my mother which used 1 tank! It's been over 2 years since I've done an oil change on either of those 2 cars, so I'm finally getting to it this weekend. The Volvo doesn't take synthetic, so that one really is past due.
I was too weak to start this morning too. A cup o strong coffee & a funny text from a buddy got me going.
The MINI is getting a warsch and then my wife and I will be taking a mini ride out on the back roads of the corntry..... We'll be having lunch at one of the state lodges...... https://lakehopelodge.com/
Wasabi is going to get a joyride tomorrow. I feel like all my attention has been on the new daily, which after 2 months of back order, my wheels and tires finally got it...and on. Konami by Jono Kenyon, on Flickr
Wish I'd seen this earlier. I could have directed you to the best stage roads near lake hope. America's Best is my favorite.
Very good most folks have no clue what it is. Yes it's a Plymouth Fire Arrow. Also known as a Mitsubishi Celeste.
