I think that is probably what happened to the second one. On all the other minis the amp is in the boot. On the coupe it is under the drivers seat. The cabin gets very hot in the simmer compared to the boot. I believe the heat is killing them. Thanks for the link
Those boots are so hard to get on. I wish I did know a trick. maybe this will help https://www.m7tuning.com/downloadable/download/sample/sample_id/285/
I found the trick. I used the old ones for now and ordered some from my place in the UK GT TUNING. They are a lot easier to use. they are preformed to fit and are a softer rubber. I used them for 5 or 6 years now with out any problems. I was trying to get it done faster so I ordered some from a place in the US but never again. It took me no more than 5 mins. to reinstall the intercooler this morning.
It has been awhile, after the covid saga and owning the JCW clubby for 1.7 years, 2 years in July, if finally took the snow tires off. Not much wear with as I just turned over 2900 milds on the Clubby. As I said earlier, looking to change it out, but I do love the Clubby JCW, fast and fairly comfortable. Not sure I could enjoy a long, long to the coast trip from Colorado and I do not want two car payments at this fine age in retirement. We shall see. Might get it out on Sunday and go visit the AUDI dealer when no sales people are hanging on UPs. Later, we got a great weekend going here in Colorado. Don
Well... I still haven't unpacked the MINI from MOTD, but I did get my Killboy photos! Here's my favorite.
Oil change last night in the 2012 Clubman, plus fixing the repeat offender broken temperature sender wiring..
I got out to the garage and puttered around a bit. I unloaded all of the stuff from MOTD 2022 (I took in my clothing last week, but just left everything else in the car until I had some time to recharge from the trip. I had been leaving my full-sized spare bolted in the back w/ the rear seats down, but I decided to put the car back to 'local mode' (remove the spare and put the rear seats upright). Maybe next weekend I'll take the car out to fill the gas tank, give the engine a once-over and wash the exterior.
I generally try and stay out of politics, but here I am. Made my political statement. The stickers arrived today and I stuck them to magnets. Thanks to the folks at the MINI Club of Ukraine for sending me their logo.
Well the weather was halfway decent yesterday so I cleaned GIR up and drove him into work this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
