It’s good to see young kids play sports and have fun so we go to all the grandkids baseball, basketball, football and track events.

Yes in both cases. While I was at it I added a few more things. What the hell you can't take it with you. It's only money. I've had it tuned 3 times since then. Twice by Jan and once by ( I forgot their name ). As far as rebuild. New pistons and head (RMW)header, cat back exhaust and had everything balanced.

Is Jan still doing tunes? I haven't heard anyone mention dates lately. I wish I had the cash flow to get an extra 100hp out of GIR.

I meant to ask last Friday has anyone received any phone calls from dealers asking to look at your MINIs. I did last Friday, the individual couldn't understand why I didn't want to drive for 3 hours to see what they would offer me.

A 100hp would be interesting and a handful but 30-40 could be doable and a lot of fun.

No my dealer has bugged us with emails about my wife’s Mini. I just ignore them. I am pretty pissed at them. I called several times and left massages about the GP3 and an e-mini. But never a call back. I have bought several cars from them, not anymore.

What I found annoying about the whole thing was they have GIR on file, they have done repairs. Realistically all they really had to ask about was condition and mileage, but they asked the whole gambit of questions on the checklist. About an hour layer I get a call informing me that I have a unique vehicle and they would like to look at it. With gas prices and the three hour drive I told them I would sent them pictures.

Agreed, I wouldn't sneeze at a 40hp increase. 300hp sticks out in my head because from what I have read in the past it was a reliable goal without having to worry to much about blowing things up. Although I could be remember things wrong. Either way a tune would be required and Jan seems to be the go to guy.

Over on NAM there is a guy from Romania by the name of Adrian that does tunes and everyone who has had his tunes claims he’s the best.

I have always told myself I would never sell GIR. That being said GIR is not original and has some miles on him and with the car market the way it is, I am curious to see what they would offer. I am just not willing to spend the time or the gas for a 20 minute conversation.

In summer 2020 I got a call from my Audi dealer, offering me near what I paid for my then 1+ year old A6. I turned it down (because I wouldn't have been able to replace it easily), but still... you want my car but don't want to make it easy on me? Good luck with that approach.

I drove to my retiree breakfast this morning on brand new asphalt for part of the way and what a joy that was.

Almost forgot but I bought 11.5 gallons of premium this morning for $61.33. Not complaining as I know some folks pay more but it just seemed like an eye opener when pumping gas into such small car and the price numbers were flying by.

There was a first generation GP that had 114,000 miles and sold for $22,000 back in March on BaT. It had some engine and body work done to it but looked very clean. Does not original mean it some mods ??

I have always been under the impression that for special edition vehicles, mods would drive the price down just the same as mileage. I guess that would depend on how much of a “purist” you are dealing with though. I didn’t buy the car with resale in mind, it was supposed to be a good weather fun car but soon became my DD and was up until COVID started getting out of hand.

11.5 gals here would be $75.71 (for regular) not premium.
