I was checking my bill from my detailer and seen something I have never heard of STEAM WASH. The car looks great but I was wondering what that is. Then they clay bared it. It's the same place I had ceramic coat Checkers 2 years ago.

At first I thought steam wash meant interior but then I found that detailers are using steam to clean exteriors as a effort and time saver.

Bath day for the Helmet. I think it is time to redo the ceramic coating.

The Helmet is still a sharp looking car. What size are the wheels and tires ??

I have ever heard of it before. I guess I might need to get one (steam washer).

Nor had I until you mentioned it. There are some YouTube videos showing different detailers using the process.

They look great, but from my experience they are a bit unforgiving if’n the road is somewhat choppy.

When I got my German bread-van, aka the GTI I went -1 on the wheel size. From 225-40-18 to 225-45-17, much improved ride & I haven't killed a tire yet.

you are correct. I spend a lot of time watching for pot holes and bridge joints that are bulking. between the tires and the coil overs it can be very harsh. I actually have to be more careful with the Helmet than the Exige. The front splitter is 4 inches off the ground so I have to be carful with driveways. The Exige does not have much give ether. It has 225 45/16 front and 245 40/17 rear.
The year I took the Helmet to the Dragon I was amazed how fast it can corner.

I agree that when the roads are relatively smooth it feels like you are driving on rails but I believe that having just bit more sidewall would make life a little easier.
