Superchargers don't need a blow-off valve that you see on the right side of the radiator. The car has an Audi P8 engine K04-064 turbo.
I did not look that close sorry. Nice look in job. What kind of power are you getting out of it? I am sure it is good.
Drove the MINI Countryman on some errands, just under 90K miles on the 2011, might be time to refresh some of the bits, cost versus and upgrade for the 2nd car, so far it is only dropping some drops of oil on garage floor from the front mainseal, will be the 4th try at replacing, going to go with a senior independant this next go around. Stays dry for 3 to 6 months then weeps again. N18 engine.... Not sure. if it is a feature it is kinda British. Don The AUDI is on it's first maiden trip across the US, going to Maine for 3 weeks wife is getting to break it in properly, I will fly out and drive back at the end of October, home in time for the little goblins.
My youngest son drove home Sunday for a visit, he lives about 3:30 from us. His truck needs a new valve cover gasket and sway bar bushings. He is starting his first big aviation job this month! So proud! He is a pilot also. I told him leave the truck I would fix it and drive the Helmet for the week. His truck is spotless, its a 2003 Ranger. I know the Helmet is in good hands. He texted and said I am not getting my car back.. yea right!
Had the chance to drive a friends JCW Roadster for a few days. Double the power of my 2002 Cooper, top down motoring quite a lot of fun!!
Replaced the club door release lever on my R55. The upper plastic bit that holds the spring broke, leaving the lever askew and sticky. Needed to pry the lever out so that the door could be opened with the handle. Easy to replace. Just remember to attach a string or wire to the top of the cable before pulling it out so you can easily thread the new one back up through the door guts. Hardest thing was finding a trim screw that I dropped into the curbside grass.
My week driving a JCW roadster is over. A long slog home thru downtown Chicago area during the marathon, and my Cooper is safely tucked back in my garage with the rest of my toys.
The 1963 Alpine is a really nice looking driver. Owned it about 3 years now, and had stored it for the prior owner for a couple years before that. I am the second owner of the 1974 BMW R60/6 from a family friend. I remember this bike when it was new and I was a kid. I know it has over 100K miles, but no idea how much more since the top digit of the odometer sometimes moves around. Got it about 1 1/2 years ago after it had been sitting for many years. Got it running, sold my other motorcycle and this is now my forever bike. Both get regular weekly use until the roads get salty in the winter.
My wife and I drove to my son's (about 3.5 hour drive0 Dropped off his truck and pried the keys to the Helmet from him and drove it home.
