I really don't like not having a Like.
But you know when management changes other things are going to change too (sic) -

Ah, the old days of the Internet have returned.
The Like button notion was first introduced less than a decade ago, and now we can't live without it. Who needs these fancy shmancy newfangled thingies anyway?

PLEASE...I type with one finger. The 'LIKE' button is a godsend.

Why the Like button had to go away.
The button was a part of a product called vBSEO. The company that created the software folded a few years back after Internet Brands bought the vBulletin product and subsequently ran the 4.x version into the ground, then with 5.x ran it over a few times, used a flamethrower on it and for good measure wrapped it radioactive waste*. As the vBSEO product is no longer supported and was designed for software written back when a T-Rex would have typed out the code it is full of holes. One of those was exploited on M/A causing millions of spam emails to be sent out. This in turn ruined the M/A mail reputation causing the site to be blacklisted.
So this leads to now. In order to clean up the mess the offending software has to go away. In doing so the Like button is a casualty of the black hat vs the rest of us wars.
As I've said there is a potential product undergoing evaluation that may bring back all the lost likes and the button.
* How bad is vBulletin 4 and 5? - Internet Brands, the people that wrote the product have not updated any of the 100's of sites they own, such as NAM, to use the latest versions. -
Makes sense. No one wants a giant security leak.

The issue is exactly as Nathan describes. We have bought a license to a new Like button product and we believe we can import all the old likes from the old product. It will depend on which files are corrupt and compatibility. We are diligently working on a replacement!
Stand by and thanks for your patience and support!
