Seems the r53 can do better than the 135 mph.
HMMmmmm..... Next time I am out in Orlando, I will try for 150, or maybe 'peg' !!
Although the mph was still climbing.. it had slowed a lot.
Will be interesting to say the least..
Just saying.........................

Dave.0 Helix & RMW PoweredLifetime SupporterThumper please get as close as you can to 150 mph and then hit the 100 + shot of NOS for me.
Oh and please record it.. -
I've lost the entire passenger side A pillar cover and part of the driver side A pillar cover at the track. The car has never gone over 120 mph. I don't replace plastic bits that fly off, so now both A pillars are a nice bedliner black.

Sure will... I didn't have my data log with me at that time.. I will data log it for ya!! As for the bottle run.. I think it will be more of the amount of time vs the engine time to get there. 146 is just too close not to make the attempt. lol
Just me...................................

PS: This is the second windshield in my 06, the first one at 120+ would start to howl like a banshee.. scared the mess out of us.. the second one seems to be a better seal.. no noise or parts falling off..lol -

I thought I read somewhere that the gearing for the '05/'06 Getrag trans was enough to get right around 170 at 7500 (or mabee 8000)RPM. The trans out of the ONE-D (yes the gen 1 diesel) could hit speeds over 200 if you could put enough power into it.
Personally I dont see the point in any kind of top speed runs. Who needs to go faster than 130MPH in a street driven car?
Oh and my best was right around 140ish.

I've only hit 120 so far, ran out of straight road. We have a lot of twistys here in Arkansas but it was still pulling hard. I think there may be another 10-15 mph in there somewhere, just have to find a longer straight.
