I listened to classic symphony on Sirius today. I know, I know, it's somewhat boring to many posters here. What can I say?

The new self titled album from Wesley Stace. Till recently he went by John Wesley Harding, now he's using his given name. It's good stuff.

As I have gotten older I find myself almost 100% listening to either classical or jazz. Real jazz not that Kenny G garbage. While I can rock with the best of them, the commercial radio sources for any other venue are generally sucky and I am not good at preprogramming a selection, i.e. CD's or iPods. A decent public radio station offers what I need and want.

Plus, even way back in '72 when I bought my then new Fiat 124 Spider, it didn't come with a radio (Who here can remember THOSE days!!) and I ran it sans radio for at least two years. I enjoy the mechanical sounds of a vehicle traveling through a time-space continuum and don't really need the distractions.

And before anyone asks, I'll be 65 in March of '14. :beer

Big Star, sort of. More like the remake of Big Star with some of the old lineup and some of The Posies.

No music today, I prefer to zone out on the drive to and from work with road and engine noise. Recommend it next time your in the car turn the radio/CD player. Steriophonics is on tomorrows playlist however.

For you who can remember, Dave Brubeck's Time Out & Further Time Out.

    Still great after fifty years.

Couldn't agree more. Around town I love to hear the CAI growl while going up and down through the gears! Out on the superslab, on goes Sirius tuned to Classic Vinyl.
