I remember that night! 5 years already? Wow.

My first MINI event was the inaugural MMMC meet in early 2003, back when it was just a Yahoo group [do those even exist anymore?!]. I suppose my first "big" MINI event was when we put together the 1st MINI's on the Dragon in May '03, just one month after taking delivery of my 1st MINI Cooper S. Those were good days. :biggrin5:

 

Summer 2005 attended British Car Night at Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus. That's when I met Aaron Carnaby of Outmotoring and my wallet has been thin since then. Thanks Aaron!

 

MITM #2 was my first. And that is where the rabbit hole started.

 

I think I may have attended a small event before but the first one I remember attending was the Grand opening of the new Detroit Tuned shop/Michigan MINI Motoring Club Christmas party in January 2009. I had just bought my 05 JCW a few month prior. I also think that was the night I decided I was going to attend MOTD 7. I was aware that the Dragon existed but didn't know of the event at that point.
As much as I enjoy my MINI, it's really the people I have met and the adventures I have had because of it that that I really love.

 

Mine was AMVIC back in 2007. I had just bought the MINI and was between jobs. I went out there knowing all of one person and made lots of new friends that I still converse with today.

A Friday night Fish N' Chips even with the Michigan MINI Motoring Club.

That was my very first MINI event. I had just acquired my Clubman a few weeks or a month or so before hand. Almost 5 years later and having traded in my Clubman for a Cooper S, I'm still having a blast!

 

My first event was a show n shine in Seattle put on by PSMINI. My first really big event was AMVIV in 2007. I lay claim to fame along with Tori for have our cars shot at on the Las Vegas Strip during the Strip Cruise.

 

Minis on the Dragon #5 2007. In our then new '06 just-a. Now going to our 7th MOTD in May with our 6th Mini MCS. This has by far been the best car group of enthuses we have met.

 

A run by M2C2 from Charlotte to Lake Lure then to Asheville. Great run. meet a bunch of people and made lots fo friends. Still hanging with them when I can!

 

MTTS/MITM 2010 was the first for me
