For me it was a Porsche 930.
Those of us of a certain age that were AutoWeek subscribers way back when got this poster in the mail one day.
I was already a PCar fan, but then that poster arrived... -
I've basiclly had 3 life long dream car wants, #1 I have (sort of), #2 I could prob. get with the right amount of effort, and #3 I could never in a million years afford.
#1, 1948 Anglia:
I have a body & frame and some assorted parts.
#2, 60's Continetal Convertible:
#3, 1937 Bugatti type 57s Atlantic:
Hell if I ever could afford one & bought one, I'd probably never know it due to the blood loss to my brain from the constant stiffie I'd have. -

Always wanted a classic 911 Turbo with the whale tail. Though tastes have changed, so I will take the new 911 Turbo, mmmmmmm.

1963 split-window Corvette Stingray, Z06 spec. Insanely expensive, assuming you could even find one.
Zora's triumphant masterpiece.... -
There were so many... '61 'Vette, Ford GT-40, Dino Ferrari, '32 Ford Hi-boy Roadster, '50 F-100, TR4A, '63 Nova SS ragtop, '56 Bel Air...
I built plastic models and slot cars of most of them. -

:cornut: In 1957 it was the MG TD. Even back then I liked British Cars.

Too many trips to the drugstore for C&D, R&T, and Autoweek... Mine were:
#1: (yeah, I share the love of this one with others in my generation)
#2: (had an HO slot car of this one):
#3:
And this is what my next-door neighbor drove us to school in, I had near-zero appreciation for it at the time, but definitely do now:
