1974 Opel Manta - It's been years and years since I've seen one of them in person. It had a 1900 CC engine but was dead simple to work on. I learned a lot about fixing things right vs. just fixing them on this car.

Unfortunately, my wife sold it to my sister when I was away at boot camp. My sister's idiot husband wrecked it then disassembled the transmission all over their back yard. By the time I got back from boot, Little Red was no more. Very fond memories are all I have left of her (Little Red, not my sister.)

1984 Dodge Colt GTS Turbo in gunmetal grey, an old school "pocket rocket".

Bought her at an auto auction. I picked up a Chilton's guide, some Craftsmen tools and a two-ton jacket. I learned a lot about that car as I was underneath her every other day.

First car I was able to take out on my own was '72 Maverick Grabber.

First car purchased was a '78 VW Scirocco. Had it until I sold it when I got my '04 Cooper S.

My first car was a 1956 Ford Victoria 2 door HT. auto. Thunderbird V8 and I paid $500 for it in 1963.The first mods were to install an old table radio speaker in the rear shelf and removed the hubcaps.
