I need to find a B2 pilot with a MINI fetish so I can get some MINIs with a B2 as background, unfortunately every time I have been close to one there have always been two or three heavily armed security personnel giving me the "look"-

:cornut: Close to Whiteman AFB are you?
Jason -
Nearest AFB is Andrews, in DC, but Camp David is only five miles away. We know when someone is in residence, as the fighters make low level passes over the house all day. Add in the three White Top helicopters they ride up in and the motorcade that drives up just in case it is needed and that equals a LOT of fuel I (we) are paying for, just for a retreat in the mountains. :nonod:

About the only think flying over my house is a police helicopter with the spotlight on.

Obama Circled me for about 2 or three hours last Friday, they were afraid of a little rain and wouldn't land... Ellington Field 20 minutes south of Houston. It really sucked though, because they shut down the two biggest freeways in Houston to wait for him to land
I45 and beltway8 were parking lots in the rain at rush hour. -
Various rockets launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. Such as the Delta II rocket shown in photo.

C-17 Globemasters, F-15s, F-16, CH-47 Chinook helicopters, OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters, AH-64D Apache helicopters & UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters.
That, and a lot of different seaplanes, float planes, Biplanes, Ultralights and just regular prop planes.

These are just to examples sharing the airspace. Sadly, the illustrious Jerry Brown has just taken more funding from CAL FIRE and the Fresno Air Attack Base will be closed for the 2012 fire season. Hopefully it will re-open in the future. As well, legislators are looking at closing the 144th Fighter Interceptor Wing in Fresno. It provides immediate response defense to the Pacific Coast.

When I was in Las Vegas you got to see the regular series of commercial stuff (737s,757s,767s,747s,A330,A300,MD-80s etc...) but the good stuff was out of Nellis AFB. F-15s, F-16 (Including the Thunderbirds), F-22s, A-10s, C-5s, C-17s, B-1Bs regularly. Then we get the occasional F/A-18, F-5, F-117A, B-52s and other good stuff especially during Red Flag.
Now I work right next to the Chino Airport. So I get to see P-51s, B-17s, B-24s, P-38s, F4F Wildcats, T-6s, along with the various Cessna's, Grummans, Pipers and other GA traffic. -

Seeing all those MINIs lined up on the Tarmac brings back the good old days when I used to autocross my Porsche 911RS replica out on Crows Landing NAS. Flat out in fourth gear, an autocross was more like a track event. The concrete was brutal on the track tires.

Buzzards. Keep moving... Just in case.

If you ever get the chance to check it out, not sure if Crows Landing NAS is still available as an autocross location but, back in 1989 with the Porsche Club Golden Gate region it sure was a ton-o-FUN!
