    When I started in the computer business in the '80s a customer would come in and say his computer stopped working. We'd take a quick look and if it was dead we'd tell them they let the magic smoke out of the chips. Often the reaction was "yeah I saw smoke come out, that must be it". :eek6:

    That's one of several common ground blocks on the car. Lots of things have grounds up there, mostly lights and horns.

    And why would MINI use such a "Oversized" junction connection for just a few wires... Seems like a great way to collect salt for corrosion in the winter besides a "dirt tray"...
