    Already in process:

    1. Found, bought, shipped and stripped a donor GP
    2. Kicked my wife's car out of the garage for months
    3. Made my MINI unsellable, past the point of no return
    4. Put a manual transmission in an automatic MCS
    5. Sent Jan a check for an obscene amount of money - and that was just the down payment
    6. Commissioned Howerton to build me a custom meth system
    7. Bought a crazy amount of sensors, gauges and data logging equipment
    8. Bought every piece of trim, decal, bumper, etc. to make my cabrio as GP-ish as practical.
    9. Registered the domain GPness.com
    10. Commenced campaign of 3x normal wonderfulness to the wife, in an attempt to stay married

The Elise is very high on my list, but I'm going to have to go with the Porsche Cayman GT4.

I had already gotten my wife's nod of approval for a new Cayman when we decided, on a whim, to try out the MINI. I'm sure glad we did. I recall reading a comment from a member who previously owned a 911: "The Mini is 8/10ths the fun for 2/10ths the cost". After owning my Mini for over a year I still believe that just as strongly as ever.

    Similar story..

-My MINI was already unsellable, unless a track rat floated to the surface.

--Removed and Replaced roof to get rid of sunroof, hoping it would make a difference. It did.

--Sent Jan a check for an obscene amount of money - and that was just the down payment (Borrowed from Paul)

--Sent the car to Jan. From Wisconsin. This required another check for an obscene amount of money.

--Vipec Dash. So I wouldn't have to buy a crazy amount of gauges and data logging equipment.

--Too lazy to buy strips and stuff for the exterior. Hoping Owen (5Zero) will have time to do it while it's in Cali.

--No web domain, have to draw the line somewhere.

--Looking to sell my MDX for something that will tow a MINI. Probably a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Looking at trailers. Although I might be able to rent one instead.

--Getting my wife a Volvo XC 90, because I can only pull off 2x wonderfulness and needed something to make up the difference.

All of this because of an obsession to run a sub 2:40 at Road America.

I love playing with fire, so let's try this again: My wife says I didn't tell her until it was in the garage that I'd bought a '95 M3. (I was sure I did... :D ) But she's still around, so I'm ready to try again with a '16 Mustang GT350. A real GT350 (especially the '65) has always been out of my reach, so here's a way you can fulfill one of my lifetime dreams.

I hereby approve your starting a Kickstarter fund for my GT350. (I thought I'd have a better chance at crowd funding with a reasonably priced car, rather than my dream Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari GTO or Mark Donahue's Trans Am Camaro.)

Thanks, in advance, for your contributions. :fingerscrossed:

Yeah, there is a subterranean connection under the track to Elkhart lake, but you have to know the secret handshake to get in....

    some force fed Audi

As a many years Audi Master tech, the offerings since 06 continually beckon to me-I am torn between 06-08 S4 v8 cars (avants-small hatch wagons-are the coolest)and later supercharged cars, with an occasional longing for an S6 with the V10. Undoubtedly at current used prices I will own one or more of them in the near future!

Yes, No bells and whistles, just an adventure to drive.

Any car of this vintage, be it an MG or a TR , Austin Healey. It does not have to be a great looker but it has to be an adventure, plane and simple. Pure driving experience.

At the moment, Jaguar F-Type S tops the list.

Also on the short list is Lotus Exige S, Cayman GTS, and BMW 1M.

    So many choices
NSX, 280Z, early 70s euro Capri, 32 Ford Coupe Hot Rod, Eleanor, Ford Escort RS Cosworth,...

Like Eric, as soon as I would get one I'd be thinking about the next one. I found it's an ADD thing. The anticipation is better than the having.

This morning I want to add a Morgan 3. It would be a great ride to have today or any fine day.

So many cars so little time.

I should have bought that C type Jag I was offered for $2,000 back in 1968. The one that got away. On my.....
