They run submarine races at Road America? :confused5: I've been there dozens of times, and I've never seen that! :cornut:

Okay, now wait a minute! If you could conceivably afford a P1, Mr. Zapski, then what the hell you hanging out with us for??? I'm talking about a car that's just withing irrational financial reach. The one that, when you bring it home for the first time, there's a 40% chance your marriage is done.

A late 80's 911 "Turbo Look". It has the wide body, brakes, wheels & tires and whale tail of the Turbo, but has the normally aspirated engine.

Red over tan leather with A/C if I get to be picky.

    or

a Red/Union Jack Sportpack Classic Mini with 4 driving lights and bonnet stripes and a strong 1380.

Anyone with a good job could have both...

I could have bought a Cayman for what I have in the MINI at this point. But, otherwise, I think your statement holds. :cornut:

Your MINI will be quite a bit faster than a stock Cayman when it's all said and done. You'd have to get into a Cayman S to make it interesting.

If I had the money to spare to buy a '67 Tiger, I honestly don't think that my wife would be against it. She is very much the type that would say "you work hard, you get it". However, being the only wage earner in the house, and 2 boys to put thru college, my "toys" will have to wait a few years. Also, finding a good '06 R53 (in Chili Red), and a Triumph America are probably more realistic targets for me.

Really like the idea of owning a classic Morgan. This is tempered by the realization that I likely wouldn't fit (which tends to be the case more often than not for cars on my "list.") All the more reason I love my Mini.
