Yea I need to do some photoshop work and play with it. My arches are just Greyish plastic. I was thinking about seeing how much a used set is, paint those (once I figure out a color). That way I have originals. Been looking to see if I could find a GP2 with painted arches. Not sure if I would body match or potentially do a different color..

Will do - Don't plan on making any of those changes until after MOTD. Hoping I can get the carbon fiber bits that are no longer good updated before MOTD. No matter what I won't paint the originals. If I were to go down that path, I would paint a second set (used). That said I'm going to try the trick @MCS02 mentioned.. which is your trick on them, unless you suggest I wait on that until MOTD.

Clean the arches off with acetone to get any grease off of them then put a couple of coats of Penetrol on them. They will look like new for about a year. Nothing sticks to them. This is a Dave.0 trick. I do it to all out Minis.

Ok - now that is interesting. I will have to look that up and give it a shot.
Here are some more pics of other cars with fenders painted.
Again - silver/Gray seems to look good.
Two tone.. looks like has a wide body kit on it.
Another two tone... with a very wide body kit.

The red one is a highly modified and high powered Track car. You need that wide when you run 16x10 wheels. -

I've had two R53s and they both had painted arches. The second and third generation cars don't look right with em, though. Here isn't enough contrasting shape to the arches and the seam over the front wheels looks odd to me.
The pic of the dark silver at the top of this thread is the first one I've seen that looked Ok to me.
