Yup, I've been in the building when they had crate after crate of of....... V6 crate engines. Consolidated Stores had "Big Lots" and "Odd Lots" under the company umbrella. Buying out bankrupt businesses pennies on the dollar and then reselling the merchandise at greatly reduced prices..... BL & OL still exist here in Columbus....

So back when this was happening I was in college. Some of my friends worked at a local golf discount store chain here in Columbus. I used to stop by from time to time just to hang out with my friends while they were working.
Sol Shenk used to come into the store regularly. He was a hoot. At the time he was driving a DeLorean around town that was no longer stainless steel. He had it painted. If I recall it was bright yellow I think.
I think because of gull wing doors he used to just leave it in the middle of the parking lot. I mean in the driving lane so you would have to pull around him. Either that or he just wanted to be noticed......
He was a character for sure.
