Both of mine are in their respective garages when not on a roll. By the way, garages to me are more important than living rooms. I like the idea of a carpet! Guess where that idea came from.
Mine spends it's time at home sitting behind the cabin. I have room for it in the storage building with the Vette if I know we've got bad weather coming. Said building is 100 yards from my back door so It doesn't stay there all the time. The Mini sits next to my cooker that makes some great Que. I've catered BBQ for about 9 years and before that I judged state BBQ contests for KCBS for 8 years. I agree with all the above about Texas BBQ, the American Royal in KC, and Memphis in May, but my favorite is Eastern NC style pulled pork. Sadly I sold my cooker today along with all my catering stuff to my cooking buddy that lives next door. :frown5: How do you think I'm paying for all the mods I've been doing? I'm getting' too old to be hanging out around a hot cooker for 14-18 hours at a time now anyway. Towed it with my 4 door hatchback.
Monty resides in my Sacramento garage right next to our Tacoma. Along the wall directly on the driver's side is a spare refrigerator, and along the wall in front is my chest freezer. This way I can grab a quick drink & snack before a drive.
I'd show you a photo of where they live, however lately the photo uploading seems to be non existent for me. Not sure what's changed. So, let the inset photo speak for itself.
I got big time into BBQ for a few years, and kind of burned out (pardon the pun) on it. I've met some KCBS competitors, and some of them can turn a fun hobby into something mental in a hurry. Listening to them talk about the politics of competition BBQ made me wonder why they did it. The MINI enthusiast crowd seems a lot more laid back. CD
My garage is also a makeshift workshop, so there is all kinds of paint and stains on the floor. Carpet wouldn't stand a chance. Besides, if you didn't already know, MINIs leak. :biggrin5: CD
My newly acquired MCS lives in Rim Country and spends its non-motoring time inside the garage on RaceDeck (hey, if its good enough for Jay Leno) along with primo F-150 and BMW moto. If not, those would be quickly spotted by sap falling from overhead mature Ponderosa pine trees surrounding my house. My town lies in the heart of Tonto Nat'l Forest which has the world's largest stand of Ponderosas. My small lot has more than its share. My old trail prepped jeep is now relegated to the backyard (between weekly jeep club runs) covered by shade screen tarp. Oh my my, too many "my" written above... :rolleyes5:
