The slide is actually a little further south. It's directly across the street from the gravel area where most people park before doing the return drive down the dragon.
Looks like the best twisites are accessible, Actually a good thing. Keeps the southbound traffic down to just those that have done the north run and coming back. Assuming the NC Hwy dept puts up some "road closed" signs before you hit the Cheola Skwy...... If not dealing with semi's and grandma's Impala turning around will be a nightmare
Minis Slay the Sleeping Dragon. The Tar Heel Mini Club hosts a laid back event at Fontana Village at the end of October. Lot less hoopla and allot more twisties with about only 20-30% of the MINI's on the road as at MOTD. Much more my style
