Whitney Houston dead at 48. What a talent and beautiful voice before the drugs and booze took their toll... RIP
I remember when she first came out....so cute and innocent....sad really sad :frown2: RIP [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiJ_2zQYUFg[/ame]
Nothing that happens to anyone in the entertainment industry surprises me anymore. Look at all the stars that have died from self inflicted stupidity. That sounds harsh, I agree. But these people have friends that watch them destroy themselves. Everybody wants to get something out of them, but no one wants to intervene when their actions are so detrimental. How many of the great talents would still be with us if someone in their circle would have had the balls to stop them? Sorry for the loss to her fans and family, but I'm sure most of us saw this coming YEARS ago.
Very Sad!! to hear about this:frown2:. Having some expertise in the field of recovery, intervention rarely helps. Only when the person in question truly, knows in their own heart that they have a problem which they cannot themselves control, can recovery begin to happen via the correct program for that individual. Force them and they rebel and get worse. They have to sink low enough, lose the ego and want help. TOUGH LOVE!:cornut: Jason
.....It's sad to say, but you can't help someone, unless they want the help. I've seen it first hand too many times to count.........
Exactly. Rehabs are full of people that are trying to stop for other people or to try and get out of trouble, but until they find the true desire within themselves to let it go and give it UP, they are lost and will continue in their downward spiral.... A spiral that only has two outcomes; death or recovery, that is the cold hard fact. But it can be done!!
So sad.... RIP Whitney [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH3giaIzONA"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH3giaIzONA[/ame]
Where did you see her? Was she in a box? (Too early?) LMAO  Who would have thought Bobby Brown would have out lived Whitney? Not me....
Agreed! As for not being able to help someone that doesn't want it, I've seen that first hand. My dad was a drunk, not an alcoholic, he said alcoholics went to meetings, Drunks went to bars. He went to detox more than I can remember. So NO, you can't help someone unless they want it. But it made me a better person seeing his self destructive behavior.
1. It's not too soon in my eyes...I'm surprised she lasted this long. 2. That joke just sucks...sorry
I can do better...:biggrin5: Bobby Brown found dead. A note next to his body says 'Two can play that game' Isn't it somewhat ironic that a woman who hasn't been clean for years managed to die in a bath. Whitney houston- very impressive 6 grammies in 14 years. Just as impressive 6 grams in 14 minutes. Why did Whitney Houston snort Splenda? She thought that it was Diet Coke. Whats the difference between Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston? About 204 days. Whitney Houston apparently discovered that there IS a mountain high enough. There's going to be a huge line outside of Whitney Houston's funeral next week. Which, coincidentally, is what killed her. The cause of Whitney Houston's death is not clear - as everyone knows, crack is white. What's the difference between Whitney Houston and my piece of junk car? At least my car can hit 50. What did Whitney Houston and Apollo 13 have in common? A major crack problem.
No, I liked the movie. It really showed how hard and unappreciated that job really is. She played her part well to show that, IMHO. You clearly have a thing about her, but that is not my concern. Jim
I dont have a thing about her I just like busting on dead celebs. ( I am Little twisted like that) :cornut::crazy: I have the Zsa Zsa Gabor jokes ready to go, should be any day now. :aureola: California new state motto. We kill celebs one pill at a time. MJ, WH, whos next?
