I've had Kyowa on my vert for the past 4 years or so, although I don't think they make that model anymore. Paid $560 for the set, but I think that was when they first came out. Couple of them are out of round by now due to potholes and such, but are still in decent shape. As a matter of fact I used them at Willow Springs last time I saw you.

Often times on a wheel at this price point there are 2 bolt circles designed into the wheel to increase the market size without having to duplicate the inventory.

    Yep. Two bolt patterns: 4 x 100mm and 4 x 4.5in (114.3mm)

Got it. I guess that would be the best way to go. I have heard of people talking about "extra holes" before, so I guess that is what they meant. Is it done in such a way that it does not look odd?

    They don't look odd.

Besides, the wheels become the runflats.

You're right. I did not even notice the extra holes. :cornut:

I don't know. I bought them for weight savings and brake ventilation. I wasn't too concerned with the looks of them. I pulled the center-caps off too (they would have melted and fallen off on track) so you can see the rusty hub. :ihih:

Anyone have any experience with the ESM Wheels? What wheel would you recommend that is good for DD and some twisties from time to time? No racing yet!

No, they replaced the one wheel.

I sold the set being very careful to point out my experience.

I've been reading this thread and have a question.. I just bought a very gently used set of silver OZ Ultralegerras. They are in great shape but I'd like to know how durable they'll be for DD and some occasional spirited driving. No racing.

For the non-forged alum. alloy wheels, I vote for the Enkei Racing series with MAT Technology. It is made in Japan and have lots of success in racing use from drifting, autoX, and track. Light, strong, and good finish without breaking your bank $ account.

If you got Tim's (OXTOX) wheels they are great wheels and are very durable.

Yes I did buy them from Tim. Everything I've read seems very positive but I hadn't seen any reports on durability... Thanks for the feedback Dave. Now I have to wait for summer tire weather to give 'em a try. :)

If you are worried about the quality of an OZ wheel you have little to worry about. They make a good quality wheel.

I'd happily, and without worry, use these at the track.

Tim ran them hard at the Dragon for 3 years and did some track runs on them in NJ. He even took a trip over a drop off on Hellbender into the woods 2 years ago and was stopped by a tree. (Yeah he was "that guy") :ihih:

I would say they are more than durable for DD. I also know he took real good care of them because he is OCD like me when it comes to wheels.
