I've been called many things. Most had nothing to do with any geographical region.

I think keeping ones culture/heritage alive is a good thing. I have some Scottish blood in me, Scots like beer, so...
Not so keen on the whole kilt thing though, the Latin blood in me likes shorter skirts
Mark -
Aye but do you know why a Scott wears a kilt? LOL

My ancestry: English, Irish, French, German, Dutch.
It's why I'm so conflicted I guess; the English/Irish thing, the German/French thing (actually Germany pretty much got into it with everyone except maybe Japan), and not enough dutch to smooth things over..... -

I am Cherokee, Chocktaw, Penobscot, German, and English. That means that my heritage (Original American) were raped pillaged,(The English) enslaved and forced off our birth lands and relocated. Now we can say FU with our tax exempt casinos opening all over our stolen lands.
The only document I feel compelled to believe in is 1805 A Treaty of Limits
So all of you are just in reality squatters, trespassers and opportunists ....
Welcome to America!

I am just a plain old American. Somewhere back along the line, my ancestors came here, legally, I might add, and settled and spread over the entire country.
English, French and German. -
If you believe the Book of Mormon(?) …. However there is absolutely nothing in the Bible (or in Catholic tradition) about an appearance of Jesus in the America? This reference is solely to the Book of Mormon, which talks about a lost tribe of Israel that somehow made it to the America. suurre auh ok. lol
IMO the Book of Mormon is the creative imaginations of Joseph Smith anyway.
If their are any Mormons on MA it is just my personal opinion as I have other religious beliefs and feel that "heaven" is large enough for every living being.
The English came around the late 1500s and after that immigration just went down hill from their.
The Germans migrated to the English colonies in North America around the 1600s.
So when you say legally I guess it depends on when your “ancestors” arrived and what is legal for that time?
My ancestors practically a Great Grand Mother was on The Trail of Tears so I find it funny how so many claim the ancestral rights as a legal American without the inflected pain and hardship of actually have been one?
You see we went through the tyranny of the Aztecs and felt relieved when they killed each other off leaving us to our lands. We never imagined another repeat of history. Most of your ancestors called us savages but we called ourself “Ninuog” which means Human. And we have another saying as well
“Ea Nigada Qusdi Idadyhni” which mean basically one people or all my relations in creation. -

AKA Little Big Horn
Some years ago ,I was at a 'Sons of Confederate Veterans' convention 'Forrest Cavalry Corps' prayer breakfast when a young(35yo)man introduced himself as a Sioux Indian(his words) whose Great Grand Father had been a 'Brave' at the 'Battle of the Little Big Horn'(he knew that most of us Gringos aren't familiar with the proper name Greasy Grass). We imediately gave him a standing ovation and shook hands all around. We all agreed that it was a shame about the private soldiers and braves that had died there:frown2: but,the red haired' Yankee Barn Burner' certainly ' reaped what he had sown' in the 1861-65 war between the CSA and USA.

Actually, we were run out of France (Normandy) and settled on one of the Channel Islands. Came to the U.S. about the time we gained independence.
