If my son is not getting married that weekend, we should be there!

 

We'll be there from VA along with a one or two other VA MINI's. The kid is working for Disney now so he'll be there too. Something about too long of a commute from Rhode Island kept him away last year!

Since we missed Minis On Top this year, my wife and I were thinking about going to this one instead.

We live in NJ though, and we were thinking about taking the Amtrak Auto Train - has anyone done this before?

I did the Auto Train two years ago for Thanksgiving and loved it! I already looked up the rates for Thur-Sun ($560 roundtrip for 1). Yes it's pricey, but I loved the peace of mind knowing that I won't hit traffic, I don't have to stop for bathroom breaks, I don't put the miles on the car, I don't pay for gas, I can sleep on the ride down, I can watch a movie or be on the laptop, I'm served dinner and breakfast, hmm... I'm sure there are more perks. It's just great... but expensive!
