Sounds like sometig we should create for the Library.
Anyway, MINI/BMW uses ATE as their supplier for Brake Fluid. ATE SL.6 is the factory stuff. It is a DOT 4 type fluid.
A step up is ATE 200 or ATE Super Blue. The Super Blue is the same as the 200 but is blue.
You do not want a DOT 3 fluid, that was used a long time ago. DOT 4 is the spec on all cars built since 1990.
