Have an exhaust shop weld an O2 bung in your exhaust pipe.

 

There is a science to wideband install, it has to be far enough from the collector so as to not prematurely burn out, as well as being evenly placed between the 4 ports so as to get an accurate reading of all the cylinders collectively.

You can't wire into the factory harness, and you will have to have a bung welded in, the problem with the stock header is there is limited space to do so properly.

Why do you feel the need for the wideband? Are you planning to uprate injectors, cam, head, and tuning?

If not, there is no real need for a wideband on a stock car with an exhaust and intake.

Those numbers aren't that bad actually, 12.5 is where you're going to see the best torque #'s out of a naturally aspirated engine, so you're within half a fuel point.

You'll almost always fight to keep the car in stoich, due to constant barometric changes, temperature changes, humidity, elevation, etc. Most tuners, as well as enthusiasts with the need/want to stay stoich, or in the powerband will have numerous tunes for different times of year, weather, elevation, and all that jazz.

That said, more gauges are never a bad thing! :cornut:
