Erika- I don't know what the service bulletin number is, but I can find out for you.
I definitely tested the windshield today on the way to my moms and no noise was heard! Woohoo!-

Ok Erika,
Just got back from my mom's from Turkey day.
My paperwork states the following:
Perform Bulletin 51-05-07.
Apply Butyl Tape under windshield trim strip.
Road tested at 80-85 mph. Wind noise not present.
Hope this helps!
And yes, after I OVER tested this, it is definitely gone!-

I had a windshield noise problem with my 2006 R53 GP. At about 110 I would get a loud, kind of buzzing, noise. Finally figured out it was the windshield seal. I could press on the windshield at the top center near the mirror to make the noise stop.
To resolve the problem, I pushed hard on the windshield from the inside and outside. That seemed to get it to seal. No problem since and it has been about 4 years and 60,000 miles since I resolved the problem with many bursts over 100. -

I could not get the dealership to do anything. I even provided the dealership with a video of a person on the Autobahn demonstrating the problem and pushing on the windshield to resolve. Since the dealer could not duplicate the problem at 65 MPH they would not do anything. I had to fix the problem myself.
-
They even asked me to make a video of the problem.
I'm hoping maybe I can take a tech on a test drive. If they are not driving, then maybe it's ok to go over 65? Ugh. -
I could get my windshield to make noise based on overall air speed such as 70 MPH and 30 MPH wind for a combined air speed of 100. Thus, maybe you can get it to make noise at a reasonable speed on a windy day.

Set him up by letting out a blood curdling laugh as you let the clutch out.

Well I got Artemis back.
Supposedly they found a service bulletin on the windshield so they fixed it.
I will confirm when I drive to my mom's tomorrow. I'll have a nice, 3 hour drive out the turnpike to Lewisburg, PA. Plenty of time to hit 80+ :ihih:
