Yea, when the pop up spoiler deploys it has a locking mechanism built into the linkage that sets it in its upward most position. That locking mechanism has a sensor built into the linkage that sends the signal that it is in place. If you drive the Coupe with the spoiler half deployed it lights a warning light and the gong begins. When you remove the pop-up spoiler assembly, which includes the linkage, the sensor is unplugged and instantly sends the signal. As part of the installation, MINI has retrofit programming that removes the sensor signal requirements. Once it's reprogrammed, it works well. Wayne at Group 4 and I were the guinea pigs on this part replacement....what a pain and several weeks of phone calls to get it sorted out. Wayne did a bunch of the work. Now MINI has released a Retrofit Bulletin to solve the issue.ut:

I'm not a wing guy, but those JCW coupe wings just look so right.

The only one I know of that carries this right now in the US is OutMotoring. See MINI Cooper Coupe or Speedster JCW R58 + R59 Rear Spoiler -
Any dealer can get it for you....at their price!:cryin:

Has anyone seen a roadster yet with one? I am curious if it looks as good as the coupe.
