    A swagman from Australia, moved to the UK and became a traveling salesman, but decided the commissions paid for political fundraisers in Canada payed better, and he could then afford his own bagman to carry his golf clubs around.

    Spell checker does not know bagman, or swagman.

    I always thought a swagman was someone who gave out free stuff at events and the like...
    I live in Canada, and have never heard of this term for political fundraisers...However, HOSER is pretty heavilly tossed around...:D

    Having lived over 50 years in Canada, I have heard the term, as it relates to fundraisers.

    I'm a stagehand, and swag is given out by men, and women. Not sure if swagperson is a word I know:lol:
