Well now I have a goal for all the electronics mounting brackets to go in my MINI.

There are not to many new model custom cars I spend a whole lot of time looking at or would concider driving around in. Instead of innovaiton they seem to want to overload every sense possible. I do like the molded splitter, some of the artwork and I can appreciate the craftmanship that went into the build, but it's not anything that I would want to own.
These two don't look all that comfortable but it was probably the most celebrated kustom of it's time, and in some circles still is.

Well, since the seat's mounted in the middle, it's pretty clear the owner doesn't have any friends.
And won't, judging by his taste. -

Uh....it was a show model to demo their various in-car products, it was also built 8 years ago.....a hell of a lot of artistry and skill went into building it tho.
And yes, it's hideous! -
What's the problem...as you can see, anyone can be a designer...

I figured it was a show car. Too much that would not be functional and that seat looks like some kind of torture device... not a seat.
We had a Dodge Ram show truck when I worked at Esoteric Audio/StreetWires before it was broken up and sold by the bank.
It was not driveable on the street thanks to a fully functional fishtank in the grill, but the sound system would leave your kidneys whimpering for it to stop... :cornut: -

That is my issue with show cars, it becomes less about the art and more about who can go further. At least with this one lots of audio/video equipment makes sense , because it was built to sell audio/video equipment. No doubt allot of skill time went into that but it just isn't very nice. I think the Alpine team has since toned things down.
