    Fuel economy? Who cares??? Drive it 'till it needs more gas - repeatedly!
    This'll be my wife's new ride for sure. She just doesnt know it yet...

    Don't get too excited - those mpg figures are using British gallons (or 'Imperial' gallons as we imperialists call them) which are 20% bigger than US gallons.

    Though I think gentler US driving conditions (yes, really - much fewer bends and less traffic, even) mean that British mpg numbers are often achievable in the US.

    However BMW are very expert at making the test fuel consumption low, even if the real world consumption isn't that good - my current justa achieves 38mpg imp against the test 50mpg imp. The EU fuel consumption tests haven't yet been recalibrated to match reality more closely, like the US ones have.

    I feel I'm entitled to the 'nerd of the week' award - I've noticed that the Roadster (and presumably the Coupé) have flat-blade wipers.

    Presumably the flatter screen on the Roadster and Coupé mean that BMW don't feel the need to fit old-style wiper blades in order to pretend to wipe the wrap-around bits of screen at the sides.
