Thank Freakin' god! Don't get me wrong, I'm mellow as yellow jello, and I do agree that Miata is the answer to every question automotive, but I'm a little passionate about all things Zed Coupe, lowly non-M or not.

My vote goes to the GTI because of condition. If the Berkeley were in better shape (like it had a motor in it that ran), I'd've voted for it.

You can replace the rotary with a small block 350 and eat the Mustangs lunch all day long if your into 1/2 mile racing.

As for me I am a big fan of turning while going fast, because straight speed is boring.

I'll take the Alfa even though it needs to be painted red.

914 because the 280 ZX is a failure.

I twisted Lee's arm until he said GTI. :p

Can't bring myself to cast a vote for either of the first 2. Just to much carp there for me.

Z3 Coupe - Nothing against the R53, would just want to try something different (besides I can't handle another verbal beat down from Eric).

This is the first match-up in this series that I had to think about. I really like all 4 cars. The classis MINI was an easier selection over the 914, not so much for the driving experience--which is a little bit balky for both cars--but more for the cool factor when rolling into a C-n-C. The Boxster vs. R53 is harder. Bone-stock, I'd take the Boxster. It's a great car that's fun to drive, you can drop the top, the motor is quiet but sounds amazing. Knowing me, I'd mod the hell out of an R53--and a well-modded R53 is just a funner, more visceral car than an Boxster, so...

    Classic MINI
    R53

The votes are in and the classic Mini takes the win 9 to 7.

The used car you want to own under $10k

Maybe it's because a lot of us already have an R53 and want a classic to go with it. At least that would be my thinking.
Maybe that guy should put the car on here to sell.

Who's taking over for the next one?

With those big ol' Mickey Thompsons on that back of that pig... I'm sure it's not the standard inferno-mobile.
