I'm going to break the trend, and go with the Thing... Just needs more motor, and not to be purple!

Since the Mini is dressed in race garb, let's do the same to the Type 181. 1915cc motor and a paintjob and I am all about it!

    Nothing like stacking the deck....:D

    Real Mini
BMW MINI (even though I've owned a R53 before, I really don't like the Boxster)

Where does the RX-7 GTU fit into the semi-finals?

This is the first match-up in this series that I had to think about. I really like all 4 cars. The classis MINI was an easier selection over the 914, not so much for the driving experience--which is a little bit balky for both cars--but more for the cool factor when rolling into a C-n-C. The Boxster vs. R53 is harder. Bone-stock, I'd take the Boxster. It's a great car that's fun to drive, you can drop the top, the motor is quiet but sounds amazing. Knowing me, I'd mod the hell out of an R53--and a well-modded R53 is just a funner, more visceral car than an Boxster, so...

    Classic MINI
    R53
