What about starting up a new one to determine ultimate race car. Where I struggle is coming up with 4 categories:

    Rally
    Open Wheel (Indy/FI)
    Stock Car (NASCRAP/BTCC/DTM...)
    ?

Have 16 cars in each category and let them battle it out and then have the winner of each group in a final 4 and ultimately declare the over all winner.

How about a 20 car bracket with a maximum price of $35K?

Is the $35k when the car was new or current market value (thinking about older cars that may have decreased or increased in value)?

The next round is delayed... I cant think of 20 cars under $35K that people actually want!

So start listing some options! $35K means $35K (so no high end or exotics) it also has to be a car in current production (no R53, no GP not even the GP-2, F56 or current models only!), if there is a base model available under the price cap but can be optioned to over the $35K limit YOU ARE STUCK WITH A NO OPTIONS BASE MODEL!

So let the list commence! :D

I know the STi is out, it was on the short list for my Jeep replacement! WRX is under $35K with minimal options. ;)

Each $5000 jump in price brings in a new level of cars. Be it used or new. Under $25,000 and half my list is gone. At $30,000 most of my list is in. The next $5000 jump really only brought in a few more cars. Now jump to $40000 some of the same cars but with higher end options. Maybe the 3 series, a Benz,Lexus, not too much I can think of right off hand. Well theres the high end Subi. I just can't do the 4 door tuner car thing. Sporty car needs to be 2 door, with or without a backseat.

There will be a KIA or two in the bracket, but you only get ONE.

I chose $35K because it will be difficult! Yeah you have all the bottom feeder appliances, but its just enough $$$ that some of the cars start getting good! However it counts out a lot of what people want because of the price cap being low enough to make a fully optioned sporty car out of the question.

It should be an interesting bracket, but we need people to chime in with cars to pick from. :D

Well Dave (er, Richard) there is no used cars in the up coming bracket. The cars are being based off of vehicle type, and MSRP... However, what you do to it after you spend the $35 G's or less, that is all on you! ;)

So keep that in mind... What car would you buy to go nuts with mod's on... :)

    Ok here's the first two...

    The micro compact soulless appliances...

The Smart Passion Coupe, fully loaded if desired! Comes in at $14,950, and people are making them FAST.

Or the Scion IQ, which also comes in way under budget at $16,400. Plus has a decent mod base for some reason.

Voting is open until this time tomorrow. What one would you rather have?
