As a car to lust for the Classic is the bees knees but as a car to drive daily on freeways or to be stuck in traffic on a hot summer day I gots to pick the GP.

It would be easy for me to live with. On those days where I'd have to drive in snow or in tough traffic I'd be using Babs clubman. :D

GP. I'm definitely not the right build for a classic as a daily.

Qualifier...."the classic is properly and thoroughly restored, red S model" I would chose the Classic. Like Savvy, my current body configuration would make it difficult but also force me to lose a bunch of weight.

I'll stick to the old skool air-cooled when it comes to the classics for a DD. Much more comfortable to drive, and less finicky to deal with.

I'm switching my vote to the Classic. It's too small for us to have to worry about any of that "Jerk" nonsense.

    GP...gotta love a r53...
And a long highway roatrip in a classic might prove to be too much of an adventure...
Classics are great cars, but let's face it...not made for interstate travel...

Classic because it's a true mini, unlike the BMW GP-1.

I also have a car as a DD so I would not need to drive it everyday to work but I could since I work at home.

Thats against the rules... Your choice is your one and only mode of transportation, there is no second car as a DD! No bumming rides from people, no taking a cab, or bus, no selling, or trading, your choice is your only choice, FOREVER, come 110 degree summers, or 3 feet of snow in the winter...

For that, I still say GP-1! If you have ever driven a classic for more than a couple hours, especially on steep uphill grades in the summer heat, you know where I'm coming from.

    What effing rules?
You knuckleheads did not even use common sense and chose a MINI 30K over a 80K Porsche.

    Blah Blah Blah

I don't see where it says every car has to fit your sleeping bag but you don't see me crying about it.

I could use it as my daily driver because I work from home. Also that does not mean I sleep in it because its also my home.

LoL... Although I would like to have a classic mini, the GP-1 or even just an R50 would be better suited for a DD, thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
