I want a classic Mini so bad that it aches, but if it had to be a DD, I have to take the GP. Here in Georgia it gets into the high 90's and stays there for months at a time. I also worked in a foundry for a few years, so I've had a lifetime's supply of sweating....
Remember, out here there's a need for cold AC and a stereo. This particular Classic cannot support either very effectively... I plan my excursions carefully around the temperature. (I secretly wish I'da bought my buddy's GP1605 last year too)
Yea I live in the south AC IS A MUST. I remember when I was 16 I cut the AC belt off my 69 Mustang I didn't want it to rob any horse power. I don't remember the heat bothering me. I guess it's because now when I think back all I remember is those sweet summer nights hanging out with my girlfriend in a big parking lot across from Racing Head Servecies. An occasional race down the street. But at midnight when they cut the lights out in the parking lot that when the guys with big blowers and raceing slicks showed up.
Once you are retired you can own a classic. Just use your wife's car when it's called for. Hey Eric when are you delivering my classic? :biggrin5:
Another close one, where the temperature rose just a bit--I like it. You know when politics are brought into a forum debate, the learning has stopped. Although I'm partial to the classic, I think the right one was chosen based upon the stipulations set out before us. It's pretty clear we're going to have to up the ante if we need to find a car to beat the GP-1. Hmmmm. Let me see... Would you rather... ...or...
GP-1 for sure. Heck I'll never own an electric shaver powered transport pod. The cord will never be long enough to travel 500 miles in a day.
