As much as liked my WRX it can't compare to the Ferrari. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Ferrari 250 GT Shelby GT500 KR 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko
People its not just any Ferrari.....The 250 GTO which is among the world’s most rare and coveted cars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_250_GTO You can find the WRX at many used car dealer lot around the world but you will never see one of these in person. Ferrari 250 GTO sells for record $38 million 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sold at auction Thursday night in Carmel for about $38 million — a record, but far less than many experts had predicted.. Classic car experts had expected the car could bring up to twice that amount, but bidders begged to differ. Amid a packed house of well-heeled collectors, the bidding started at $11 million and hit $31 million within a minute. But enthusiasm for the car fell flat at the $34-million mark. "Spare another $500,000?" auctioneer Robert Brooks asked the audience. The response was tepid, as the bidding progressed in $100,000 increments toward the final sale price of $34.65 million. Another 10% is added on in buyer’s fees. Thursday’s sale culminates months of furious speculation about the final price of the Ferrari, which is known by its chassis number 3851GT. Though bidding failed to meet expectations, $38 million sets a new high for a classic car market that has surged in recent years. It beats the previous record sale of nearly $30 million, for a Mercedes W196 sold in England last year. The two-seat coupe, with a 3.0-liter, 300-horsepower V-12 engine under its long hood
Most voted with their hearts, and not their heads, and chose the $38 million Ferrari over the ever-usable WRX. That's what I like: can you imagine the eggs-of-brass cred you would get for driving around a 250 through sleet and snow. Love it. We are on to the third round! Now is where the big boys come to exchange blows. Today's titanic match-ups are as follows: 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo vs. Audi R8 Mercedes SLS vs. Lamborghini Huracan 1967 Pontiac GTO vs. Shelby Cobra 1966 Sunbeam Tiger vs. 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe Now those are some match-ups!
Daily driver... Blah That was the old game and if that's the case I sure as hell would never pick a POS Lancia Delta HF Integrale over a Mercedes Benz S65 AMG EVER. :nonod: Also a Rally car does not make a good daily driver. Note you could sell the Ferrari and buy almost one of every new car available on the planet.
Audi R8 Mercedes SLS 1967 Pontiac GTO 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe Sorry but if it's not the 1 of 1 Shelby Cobra Super Snake I will take the Original Muscle car.
Audi R8 Lamborghini Huracan Shelby Cobra The last one I'm split on so I'll take both!! 1966 Sunbeam Tiger and 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe And Dave the Lancia Delta IS NOT A POS!!!!! You need to get your mind right!!
Audi R8 Lamborghini Huracan (just too cool not to pick) 1967 Pontiac GTO (Cobra would not be fun on rainy days) 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe (difficult choice but I picked one)
911 Lambo Shelby (They do make soft tops for these) and Dave, the Super Snake was actually 2 of 2 to start with ole Bill Cosby got the other one. Was totaled later in life Corvette
I know about Bill Crosby's one and he returned it the same day because he could not handle a 800 HP Cobra. It was sold to some else and they destroyed it in a crash and died in the wreck. That why the Super Snake Cobra is considered 1 of 1. I know its really 1 of 2 but the other one is gone and the last one has become known as 1 of 1. FYI ~ its for sale this weekend at Barrett-Jackson. :eek6:
Audi R8 Mercedes SLS Shelby Cobra (the first car that made me drool, I was 10 at the time) 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe (tough choice)
