I didn't complain at least I don't think I did, if I was perceived as complaining please except my apology. The way I see this if someone doesn't like this they should sit by & let those who want to partake do so. Sorry this has turned into a pile of carp Dick. This was good, real cars for real bozo's. :cornut:
I have my list of cars at home, so I cant give prices yet, but here are the selections for the day... The Hyundai Veloster Turbo, loaded comes out around $22,500 Or: The Civic Si Coupe, well optioned for around $25,410 Or: The VW GLI, which is right around $29,280 And lastly the most costly. Surprised the F56 out of me that these cost so much for such a pile... The Toyota Camry, with the big V6 is right on the edge of the price cap at $34,250 What one would you as a car guy buy to build and modify? Or will you be the one to ride on the back of Daves banana seat?
Honda Civic Si Coupe. For me it was a tough decision between the Veloster and the Civic. I like the Veloster because it is different but I think the Civic will have more aftermarket parts support and I like to modify my cars.
Veloster Turbo...Since I've been B&^%ing about 4 door tuner cars this morning I can't very well pick one here.
The Hundai V Turbo. Mainly because it's the only one under 3000# curb weight. Honda Civic Si second choice as it's right there at 3000. The others are too heavy for me to consider.
I'd have to take the Civic Si. I chose it over the steaming pile of shirt Hyundia. Heck I'd have an F56 before one of those. If that thing was a hatchback it would be on my short list as R53 replacement car. I had a 92 Civic Si hatch that was a real hoot to drive, fun for me anywho....
And so far the only votes are for the cheapest of the four... The Honda Si isn't what it was in the '90s... Since the introduction of the EP chassis the Si has been diluted more and more every year. Si is nothing more than a "costs more" badge. On the other hand, Hyundai has never been able to build a decent suspension. Even with their new found decent quality and styling the rear axle beam setup is whats holding them back... Join the 80's already, multilink rear suspension is not a fad!
Still not a single vote for the GLI... I figured that thing would win with a blowout! No love for the GTI's bigger more civilized brother though. Voting will still end tonight, and 4 new cars will move in... Tomorrow is base RWD cars. Like today one sticks out over the others to me, but who knows! (Updating todays choices with the actual MSRP as I configured them on the websites)
Unfortunately I didnt even do any research on the diesels. Let me check, and I might be able to squeeze in your vote...
