MMmm bacon :drool WRX for me, If it was stanced heck just I'd fix it. I would rather have a Toyota Celica All-Trac turbo.... :biggrin5:
WRX, I would know the Ferrari was a mess and still a mess even after a repair. I think the Gen 1 All-Trac would be a nice base to build up too.
I would take the FERRARI with all the free parts and tech line. I like a challenge plus I want to see if I could finish it before Dicks RatRod MINI build. That should give a few years to work on it. :ihih::lol: In the end I will have a great hand built FERRARI and a little iQ s-box. I already have a lawn mower so I don't need a WRX.:lol::lol:
Given any AWD Turbo car from the 80's, for me it would be a toss up between the Gen-1 Toyota GT-Four (All-trac for us) or the Mazda 323 GTX. They where the rally monsters before the WRX and EVO came along... Now an 80's RWD Turbo car I would still have to have if you could find a good one would be one of these... Mitsubishi Starion wide body, or the same car was also sold as the Chrysler Conquest TSi... This is the car that was responsible for the modern Japanese performance market, and where fast for anything out of the 80's.
I like the 323 GTX, but unfortunately the transmission was made from egg shells. The Celica All-Trac was a much stouter car. I've always had a soft spot for the Conquest-Starion twins. The lump under the hood is a pretty strong piece. My Fire Arrow rally car had the same engine sans turbo. I put 130,000 rally & race miles on it.
Any time B.A.D. Wants to take over have at it, my job here is done! The WRX is the winner, even against a slightly "blemished" Ferrari!
Thanks, maybe some time I will put together another one, but no price cap based game... Maybe age though... But honestly, keeping everything up, doing the research, selecting the cars, and trying to keep the game from being dragged off topic SUCKS! It sounds, and seems easy to do, until your the front man... Once the door is kicked all hell breaks loose! Good luck B.A.D., you're gona need it!
Thank you for the coordinating the challenge. It was fun. I looked forward to seeing what cars were competing each day.
