A few things to cover here... I don't drink beer, don't like the stuff. I do drink small batch bourbons at times, not often though. Booker's is my favorite. I will be at MOTD in May. I can easily be found when registration is open as I am your registration troubleshooter and annoyance to all in begging for funds to support the Graham County Food bank. Mid Ohio MINI has not been erased from NAM but moved to the archive section. This is nothing different that what was done with DC Metro MINIs or other groups that publicly stated they were moving elsewhere, be it to M/A or to another location. The only inconsistencies are that the Mid Ohio MINI Club Coordinator on NAM was not notified it seems and that Crashton was not dinged in any way for promoting a site against the NAM regulations. One may wonder why the same archive fate has not been bestowed upon Mid Cal MINI's. They have not publicly stated on NAM they have moved elsewhere. I'm thankful Mid Ohio MINI's have chosen M/A as their new home and will be happy to work with them as well as any other group that desires a presence on Motoring Alliance.
We are happy to get the majority of our clan here as some of use have been here for over a year and enjoying every minute of it. Let's move on to much more enjoyable bantering....like the girl in the leather pants with the whip in the MINI commercial
The fact that NAM removed the post about the move is what was childish. So archive it and move on, but to remove the info.....
It is interesting what is going on at NAM. A couple of weeks ago, Nathan setup a club area for me on MA. I requested the club and he had it setup within a day. A few days later I submitted a request on NAM to get a club area setup but I got no response from NAM even after multiple PMs, over two weeks, asking the status of getting the club area setup. I eventually gave on NAM. I am wondering if NAM looked at MA to see if I already had a club area on MA and once they saw the club on MA, NAM decided not to setup a club area for me. That would be fine with me if that was the case but they could of at least responded to tell me why they would not setup a club area for me on NAM. I have been a NAM member for over 6 years with over 1300 posts and thought I would at least get a response to my PM (it was written nicely).
That is the thing about a public forum. You get use to talking freely to the folks you know and sometimes forget that you have no idea who is out there watching and reading. opcorn: Jim
I don't think they are MM, but over half of their employees are, using government computers to boot. :cornut: Jim
Pictures do say a 1000 words. Since I can't say Motoring Alliance on NAM I have posted a picture. Traffic is way down as I still have a couple of threads that I follow mainly the DSOC as I have been keeping the list going over there. But when you look at the subscribed threads and no one has posted in days to threads that use to be very active they are going to notice a drop in business. MA keeps everyone on the same play ground setting the rules while allowing people to talk about both sides of the idea.
Someone complained to HR because they overheard me use MF in conversation with a third party. Now I use mother lover. Let them MF's complain about that one.
