    Here's an interesting change for 2017. Apparently this year tire allocations include the shakedown. I read this somewhere but didn't pay much attention to it, then I saw a list showing drivers' times during the Monte shakedown (below) and wondered why Kris Meeke isn't even on the list. Then I saw a short interview where he explained that in order to preserve the real winter tires for the rally he ran the shakedown on slicks...

    Here is the tire allocation. Meeke said he ran slicks during the shakedown...they're not really slicks but it's not hard to figure out what he meant.

    I bet Chris got a years worth of slippin & slidin on the shakedown. Wow he has large attachments. Do you know if the crews are allowed to grove the tires to suit?

    I will. A little skeptical of what I'll find this year for free, though, as they seem to be pushing their WRC+ pretty hard, claiming to have more live stages this year, etc. On the other hand, most of the good free stuff avail in prior years has been from freelance folks anyway so never part of WRC+ subscription service. Only trouble there is the amount of their coverage from one rally to another varies. Anyway, will post any good stuff I find. :Thumbsup:

    Stage 1 cancelled. Paddon, 3rd on the stage, ended up blocking the stage after a heavy crash. He went wide and hit the wall (that rocky outcrop) on the right...hard. One report said they're both okay. :fingerscrossed:
