The Mexico rally starts in a week but I feel like (re)starting this now because I found some video of Dani Sordo out testing in Portugal. (posted in the next thread) Here's the description from WRC.com:
Video of Dani Sordo out tearing up the gravel in Portugal. This is important testing for Sordo since he's more of a hard surface expert, needs all the loose surface practice he can get. I assume this is also a continuation of the testing Kris Meeke started on the new engine, chassis and aero improvements. For some reason, this season is not as exciting to me as last year was. It is just not the same. It is like "who is driving, which MINI today and for whom". :-( Jim
Though the actual rally doesn't start until Thursday, there was a pre-rally event this weekend. WRC stars get set for Fafe spectacular (WRC.com) Fafe glory for Solberg (WRC.com) pics of Araujo on the Fafe:

Very odd place to see a "horse", it does not seem to be in any type of an enclosure and remained calm through all that. I'll take it. Jim
There was a horse? I missed that, too busy studying the dust plume right at the back of the car. That diffuser sucks a lot of air up and out from under the car.
Sometimes testing is about finding weak links...and learning what it takes to break them. Apparently Kris is good at that.
