Toyota was a player in WRC for years. Well until the scrutineer's found it's magic turbo restricter. I for am glad to see them come back in.

They need to hire Pro-Drive and they will be competitive right out of the box!

Prodrive sure has the talent, but I don't think TTE needs Prodrive's help. They managed to be on the top of the heap for years & will be back there once again. Wonder if they can get Juha Kankkunen & Carlos Sainz back to drive for them.

WRC is going to get good, VW & now Toyota to battle Ford & Citroen.

Too bad MINI stuck their head up their behind and dropped full support. With VW, Toyota and MINI the other guys would have had their hands full!

I just can't get behind a Yaris as full blown WRC car.

Which would confirm to Toyota that they would be making a good marketing decision to enter WRC.

There is precious little physical difference between a Toyota Yaris and a Ford Fiesta and altering public perception is the whole reason for doing WRC.

Not that I'm suggesting there is anything of the Fiesta in Ford's WRC car, except for the steel panels in the shell - WRC is almost silhouette racing when it comes to original car content.

Agreed, I wish the rally cars were more production based.
