if someone is sending out Sprint Boosters for evaluation I'd gladly sacrifice my time and energy to do so
Tied it with the sport button today. Steering changed as normal, but the throttle responce seemed different, so I switched it off. Seemed like they might be fighting each other, but I have no proof of that. I really love this thing, but as I said before, I am useing it in conjunction with the torque arm bushings and not alone, which should be taken into account. Jim
They don't fight... the eGas pedal has two potentiometers ( for safety, they have to correstpond to each other, or it sets an error code. If one pot short to 5V, you don't the engine to go to WOT...). So as you press the pedal it sweeps out a voltage vs pedal position. The Sprint Booster changes this map, but there is no feedback. So it makes the initial pedal depression create a larger voltage change. The ECU sees this as more pedal motion (increased driver demand) and generates more torque. The Sport button uses a different throttle map as well, but once again, no feedback, they can't fight. But they do multiply! So it will feel different at any SB position with the sport button on or off. Really, a four position SB is really an eight postion one when you consider the sport button. What is fascinating here is that some really, really love the unit, despite the fact that it does nothing other than change the effective driver demand curve. But this is a key part of the driver/car interface, and can have very different impressions depending on who's driving. Hope this helps, Matt
So is the Sprint Booster just adding lead to your right foot, but the pedal doesn't need to move as much? Tricking the ECU into thinking there is more throttle being applied than there actually is. Mark

I would think response time would be quicker with both on. From what I gathered from the good Dr.O's post, they don't negate each other. Mark
Because these don't make power, just the way you access the power, find something that works for how you like to drive, and stick with it, and be happy! Matt
I like my Sprint Booster. When I think it is not working I unplug it and see that there is a difference without it. I am currently running an MTH Tune which at the time not able to adjust throttle attenuation on the ECU maps. Perhaps when I get a Mynes tune I will get it without the SB and then later install it to see any difference?
The economic way to go is to have your tuner put in the throttle map you like, then sell the SB to pay for the tune.... Matt
Today I hit the Sprot Button and gave it a good, long, honest try while the SB was in race mode. The "Energizer Bunny" was the first thing that came to mind. Great for twisties, but a tad much for regular driving. I care not what others may think, but I love this thing. Jim
Something interesting has happened. When I first installed the SB, I mentioned that MPG had dropped, which I figured was the way I was driving. That has not changed, but the MPG has gone from 38 back up to around 44. Could the ECU be adjusting to it or me or both? Jim
No... you are adjusting to the Sprint Booster. All the SB does is change the pedal position vs acceleration demand curve. What I think is happening is your brain has learned the new amount of pedal travel needed to get the desired acceleration, and you're back to where you were in terms of acceleration, and therefor gas mileage.
