Long shot here, but I know a couple people have recently installed the JCW Wing. So I am looking for the adhesive gun and template. It looks like I can get the adhesive itself pretty cheap. If you have one or both of these items I am in need. Please let me know a price.

No unfortunately I won't have it for a couple of weeks...if I can't find a template I may have you help me make one.

I installed mine without the template. I guess it would have been nice to have but I found I could get by nicely without it... When laying out the fit, I retained about 1/2 inch gap/space between the wing base and the the third brake light and it seemed to balance quite well. The adhesive kit was about 45 bucks at the local BMW dealer. The part number is: 82-69-9-408-866. It came with everything you need to apply the adhesive and yet had no gun to apply it. It did have a cone shaped applicator which worked ok for me. It was a bit messy holding that cone onto the tube of goop, but it was entirely manageable. Just be sure to wear latex gloves and apply the material to the base of the wing before fitting to the car... Also, be sure to tape off the hatch wherever you don't want adhesive. Clean-up is easy with the liquid they supply with the kit. Tape the wing base down to be sure it doesn't move while curing. I used blue painters tape for everything and it worked well.

Nathan had posted a great bit of info with the install directions (including pictures!) from MINI. I can find that and forward it to you if you'd like. Either way, feel free to give me a call or drop a message and I'll get you the info.

Sweet, thanks for the info! I will be in touch if I have issues figuring it out.

I found the install instructions online so hopefully I should be good.

Here's a copy of the PDF that Nathan had provided a few weeks back...

One other thing. Have you removed the OEM spoiler yet? If not, don't pry it off the car after removing the nuts on either end of the spoiler. Use some heavy fishing line and saw the adhesive from between the hatch and the spoiler. Just take caution as this will easily slice the rubber trim that runs along the drip rail. I wound up with a slice in the rubber that can't bee seen from a galloping horse so I calmed down fairly quickly... After removing the spoiler, the remaining adhesive residue will clean up without issue, with a little t.l.c.
