I work at a mini dealer and I've replace those gaskets many times. Never came across a warped housing. Someone at the dealer is blowing smoke to make more money
We throw those out periodically, I'll hold one back if we get one soon. One warning: the dealerships replace the whole housing vs. just the gasket sets. I once asked them why and they stated that the cast housings can warp. I'm not sure I'm on board with that diagnosis, but if it's true, beware of a bent OFHG. In any case, you'd have to replace the two o rings and the triangular gasket.
